Joseph and Heather made their plans to Elope to Sunset Cliffs. They invited a few friends and her parents and, with a few surprises, like her sister surprising her with a visit to witness, it all came together. Although the weather forecast called for cool temps and light rain, the clouds moved out of the way long enough for puffy white clouds and sunshine. Standing on the edge of Sunset Cliffs at Lunscomb Park, the ceremony began and the moment was picture perfect. I do love this location anytime during the day.

Shayna and Stephen wanted nothing more than to Elope to La Jolla at Sunset and, that’s what they got! A most beautiful sunset indeed and an emotional moment. Both from Tyler, TX, they brought local family to their seaside celebration to help share in their magic. I was indeed honored to have been asked to share in the day. It was a roller coaster day for my couple. A car accident earlier in the day with family made things a little stressful and forgetting the paperwork and running just a few minutes late did not help. I did my nest to assure my couple that everything will come together just fine and, it did. The moment happened as the sun was setting which made for a beautiful celebration. I love it when it all comes together.

Free Military Wedding with Robert and Stephanie

My Military Mondays fun continued serving those that serve us with a free military wedding Yep, back out to the beach with Robert and Stephanie along with the family and friends. We made the magic happen with plenty of clear skies and warm temps, even for January! Ya gotta love winter in San Diego. Once again, a special thank you to my Military Mondays Hero’s for helping me bring it all together. I just love my Mondays! Especially when I get to give back and serve those that serve us with a free military elopement! It makes it even more special when local professional San Diego wedding professionals come froward and donate their time and talents as well. Patrick and Nicole are from Texas, she still lives there at attends University of Texas and he is stationed at Camp Pendleton. They, and a few friends walked with me out to the beach and made the magic happen. A special thank you to my Military Mondays Hero’s for helping me bring it all together. Susanne and Keith Elope to Coronado! Ooohrah!

What a great way to start the first Official Elopement of 2012. First, the rain that was falling, stopped for the elopement and second, it was Keith, an Officer in the United Stated Marine Corps and his beautiful bride Susanne. From the moment we met in the Lobby of the Hotel Del Coronado you knew it was going to be a fun time. As we made our way out to the beach, we stopped briefly for a photo in front of the hotel and hotel sign. A tour group happened to be watching. One of the tourists (one of about 25) asked if he could have a photo with them, they smiles and said yes and before you could blink, everyone single one of them started to run over… They were so wonderful but had to say, thank you but, we need to go get married. It was indeed a very special and fun moment. We made it out to the beach, the sun peeked through and the moment happened before his son and two friends. A wonderful moment and I was honored to have shared in their day!

Simon and Tatiana help me wrap up 2011 with a 10 year vow renewal

A 10 year Vow Renewal celebration on the cliffs of Del Mar overlooking Torrey Pines State Beach. what a wonderful way to end the year of celebrations! Simon and Tatiana, a wonderful couple from Chicago wanted to share their love and recommit themselves to their marriage with a 10 year Vow Renewal celebration in Del Mar at Sunset. It was indeed a wonderful day and location. I love this spot as it is so secluded, except for a few walkers and such. Hal Martin from Focus On U Photography was on hand to capture the moment and even mentioned this was his first time at this spot and just loved the view. As we wrapped up the ceremony and I was able to get my photo, I noticed the large cloud bank making its way in and slipped off so Hal could grab some photos before the sun disappeared. I posted a few that he uploaded to his Facebook page where you can see the clouds quickly moving in. This was indeed the greatest way to finish of the year of weddings, elopements and renewal celebrations for 2011. I am indeed a very happy and blessed man!

Jamie and Denny say I Do Again, with a Surprise Vow Renewal on Coroando

Denny made contact with me via my Elope to San Diego Vow Renewal website. It was clear that whatever communications we were going to have, it was to be done on the hush-hush. So, we began, in less than a week, the plan to surprise his wife Jamie, with an 18 year surprise vow renewal celebration on the beach of Coronado. Quick one line texts, a simple email and one quick phone call the day before. I made everything quickly come together including the location and photographer Janis Foley and….. two texts on the day of… The surprise took place. Denny and his two daughters walked by us on the boardwalk, all three gave us a smile and a nod and they made their way out to the surf. We followed behind, trying to look like two well dressed people on the beach doing something else while he dropped down to one knee and asked her again to marry. With tears in her eyes, he escorted her over to us, quick introductions and the ceremony began. He then surprised her with a beautiful new wedding ring during the ceremony as she and their daughters shared a few tears, followed by a group hug and a final thought from me. The ceremony and surprise was complete and very much a success. Good Job Denny and, thank you for asking me to share in that magical moment.

Charmaine and David wanted to Elope to Coronado. One would think that planning anything from half way around the world you would be difficult at best but. Everything came together and fell perfectly into place for them. Two years ago, when David was working here in San Diego, he proposed to Charmaine while on a Coronado San Diego Bay Gondola ride and they both knew they needed to come back and make the magic happen here.So, they planned everything by email and made the appointment for their license and it all came together. Once again, the true definition of elope; to run away with ones beloved. So, the day before Thanksgiving, just us, feet in the sand, along the rocks of the Hotel del Coronado, perfect! I have to be one of the luckiest men in the world. To be blessed with such happiness and love almost every day of the year!

James and Jessie Elope to La Jolla

Jessie and James Elope to La Jolla and yes, the perfect names if you ask me simply because it was not hard to remember! It was indeed a picture perfect, chamber of commerce day in La Jolla. Clear water, blue skies and add a few puffy white clouds to the mix and viola, perfect! James serves us in the US Navy on board the Regan and Jessie is from North Carolina. It was yet another couple that truly defines the word elope. To run away with ones beloved. Just the three of us. Oh, and a few good friends of mine too. Jerry Patterson for Cloudbreak Films captured the video and Hal Martin from Focus On U Photography to care of the images. Considering this was a holiday week (the day before Thanksgiving), I was expecting a few more people int he area but it was very nice and quiet. A good day for all indeed!
